About the Faculty of Medicine

The Faculty of Medicine at the Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology was established on December 1st, 2023, marking a significant milestone in the academic development of our institution. The Faculty aims to address the growing needs of modern medical education and healthcare, both in Poland and internationally.

Our Faculty provides a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment where science, clinical practice, and innovation intersect. Since October 2024, we have been educating future physicians in our Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) program. In October 2025, we will further expand our academic offerings by launching the Bachelor of Nursing program. All our educational programs are built upon internationally recognized standards of teaching and clinical training, with a strong emphasis on patient-centered care, scientific integrity, and technological competence.

The Dean of the Faculty is Professor Małgorzata Tafil-Klawe, MD, PhD, a renowned clinician and academic with extensive experience in medical education and research.

Our Faculty collaborates closely with leading clinical centers in the region, ensuring that students gain hands-on experience in real-world healthcare settings. One of our key clinical partners is the Dr. Emil Warmiński Clinical Hospital in Bydgoszcz, which operates as a university hospital created and governed by our university. This partnership guarantees access to high-quality clinical education, research infrastructure, and healthcare innovation.

As a newly established but dynamically developing academic unit, the Faculty of Medicine at Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology combines medical education with the university’s strong technological and research foundation. We are committed to providing high-quality teaching and fostering interdisciplinary research that integrates medicine with engineering, biotechnology, and data science. Building on the University’s active participation in international programs such as Erasmus+ and its cooperation with clinical partners, including the Dr. Emil Warmiński Clinical Hospital, we aim to create a collaborative and innovation-driven environment. We welcome international partnerships and seek to contribute to solving global healthcare challenges through education, research, and knowledge exchange.
